From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

MementoVivere has been a Wikipedian since May 28, 2004.

The name is derived from the Latin imperative Memento vivere, meaning "Remember to live," which was itself engendered by the admonition Memento mori, literally "Remember to die." At first, the former appears to be antithetical to the latter. However, as the latter means "Remember death" or "Remember that you must die," it can be seen that both express the aphorism Carpe diem, "Seize the day."
