Online Ambassador feedback[edit]

I have been able to review the United States Biofuel Policies article in order to offer some feedback. Congratulations on creating your first article. It is clear that quite a bit of research has gone into the project.

Primary issues include low-level readability (length of prose) and compliance with Wikipedia's Manual of Style. I hesitate to overwhelm you. Please know that I am here to help and provide guidance with any questions or concerns you may have. First off though, I would recommend that you take some time to read and review the links provided here, in order to be able to bring the article into compliance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines.

The article prose is currently at 47kb. I would recommend splitting this article into smaller ones. Articles that cover particularly technical subjects (such as this one), should be shorter than articles on less technical subjects. At a minimum, I would recommend cutting this back to 30kb. Viable areas include the Legislative history and Proposals in the 112th Congress on the United States sections.

  • The article is considered an "orphan", with few or no links from other pages.
  • The article is missing Wikipedia:Categorization.
  • The article requires extensive copyediting.
  • The article lede section needs to be rewritten to summarize the content in the article. An article of this length generally requires four paragraphs in the lede section in order to comprehensively present a summary of the article content. Revise the "Introduction" section title, since the lede section is actually the article's introduction.
  • Section headings do not comply with guidelines.
  • The article's layout does not comply with the Manual of Style.

This should be sufficient for now. Let's touch base after you are able to review the above issues. Please feel free to contact me with any questions. I can also be reached on email. Cind.amuse 07:32, 26 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
