Same league, different name. A name change doesn't warrant a separate article. Let's go with the one that lasted longest. --Michig (talk) 13:56, 3 April 2012 (UTC)

Northern League (speedway) → Northern League (motorcycle) – The term "speedway" refers to a disciple of bicycle racing, as well as a disciple of motorcycle racing. This article is about motorcycle speedway and not bicycle speedway, so the better disambiguator is "motorcycle" or "motorcycling" -- 65.92.244.143 (talk) 17:25, 8 June 2024 (UTC)
- Oppose. Current title is unambiguous; there is no article for a Northern League (cycle speedway). The (speedway) tag is consistent with other articles in Category:Speedway competitions in the United Kingdom. 162 etc. (talk) 18:27, 8 June 2024 (UTC)
- Oppose. It is used as the standard convention for other speedway articles i.e. Wembley Lions, Glasgow Tigers, London Lions etc, not to mention hundreds of articles listed as 'speedway rider' Pyeongchang (talk) 09:06, 9 June 2024 (UTC)
