Are there any sources which describe what happened in Edinburgh during the invasion. Periodically, I add to the History of Edinburgh article and wonder if the invasion of 1298 had consequences for Edinburgh? Greenshed (talk) 19:01, 26 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]
@Greenshed:: "Edward I - English monarchs", by author Michael Prestwich (1988), states that Edward I chose not to enter Edinburgh but skirt around the town camping at Temple Liston (now Kirkliston). Edinburgh castle at that time was occupied by an English garrison. I will see if I can add something into the article. Regards Newm30 (talk) 23:49, 26 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]
