I've been editing seriously for one year, have 4,300+ edits, I've participated in RMs (including initiating them), and I've never had any behavioral blocks. Zanahary (talk) 00:01, 2 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I've been an editor for 7+ years with 20K+ edits on Wikipedia, 78K+ edits on Wikidata, and over 8.5k edits on Wikimedia. In past month, I have tagged many files for move and figured I would rather ask for the filemover priviledges instead of duplicating work for other users. I've never been a disruptive editor. Please consider my request. Thanks. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Kiran891 (talkcontribs) 2024-06-04T02:05:21 (UTC)

Not done This is not the right page for requesting file mover flags, please reapply in the correct section. — xaosflux Talk 14:17, 4 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry, didn't realize I was on wikipedia. Please feel free to remove this request. I'll ask on wikimedia site. Thanks. Kiran_891 (TALK) 19:33, 4 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@User:Kiran891 there is File namespace on English Wikipedia, but to request moving you'd need to ask at Wikipedia:Requests for permissions/File mover. On other hand, for Wikimedia Commons see Commons:Requests_for_rights#Filemover ~ 🦝 Shushugah (he/him • talk) 22:21, 4 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Had the perm before, but it inactivity-lapsed a fair while ago and I held off on re-requesting upon my return because I had no need for it at the time. Would appreciate having it again so I can do WP:SWAP-style moves related to taxon articles (typically, either to bring articles in line with WP:MONOTYPICFAUNA and to fix taxon articles where the correct scientific name redirects to an invalid scientific name, but the redirect has post-creation edits.)
