English: Spanning the Potomac River, the Francis Scott Key Bridge connects the Georgetown neighborhood of Washington, D.C., U.S.A. with the Rosslyn neighborhood of Arlington County, Virginia, U.S.A. This view at the river bank on the D.C. side from early February 2004 shows the ice beginning to melt and crack from the frozen Potomac River. The Art Deco bridge was designed by architects Nathan C. Wyeth and Max C. Tyler, and was built in 1923. February 2004. NRHP 96000199.
